Smaller flagship smartphones may be few and far between, but they appear to be here to stay. That’s not what we mean small devices, just smaller ones than the regular sizes – think iPhone 16 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro, Xiaomi-15, vivo X200 Prominithings like that. They’ve all converged around the 6.3-inch screen size, and now a new rumor from China claims OnePlus wants in on the action too.
The company is reportedly working on a device that will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, have a 6.3-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 50MP main camera with Sony’s IMX906 sensor.
OnePlus 12
This device doesn’t have a periscope zoom camera, and the camera island design is horizontal and looks a bit like what Google does for its Pixels. The current prototype reportedly has an optical fingerprint sensor on the display, but OnePlus is still considering going ultrasonic.
This means that the launch is probably not imminent. There are many speculations that this phone will be part of the Ace 5 seriesan Ace 5 mini or an Ace 5 Pro mini. We’ll let you know as soon as there is more information.
