Oppo’s next book-style foldable is coming soon, according to a now-deleted post from prolific Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station. It’s called the Find N5, and it’ll be the successor to the Find N3 from last October.

The company will likely skip “4” because tetraphobiaThe Find N5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. It will feature a “2K+” inner foldable display, a 50MP main camera with a Sony sensor, a periscope telephoto camera, and a circular camera island.

The phone will be just over 9mm thick, which will put it very close to the Honor’s Magic V3the current record holder for the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. Whether the Find N5 can grab its title remains to be seen, but even if it doesn’t, sub-10mm thickness for a foldable device is still very impressive.

The Find N5 is also rumored to come with improved water resistance (its predecessor only had an IPX4 splash-resistance rating) and a three-stage alert slider. The Find N5 is reportedly set to launch sometime between January and March. It will likely launch exclusively in China, with the international market coming under the moniker OnePlus Open 2, in which case all of the above information obviously applies to that model as well.
