One of the most exciting new features of this year’s iPhone 16 series is undoubtedly the new Camera control buttonwhich technically isn’t a button. It’s a pressure-sensitive area with a precise haptic motor that mimics a physical press on a button. Well, Chase Xu, Realme’s VP and CMO, teased the same “button” on an unannounced phone in a Weibo video.
Chase Xu explains that you can launch the camera directly and then use the button for various controls, including zooming. To be fair, it doesn’t look quite as smooth as it does on iPhones, but this is a pre-production sample after all, so it will likely get better when it comes out.
Chase suggests the button uses the same technology as Apple’s Camera Control key, later clarifying that this is not the company’s much-awaited flagship – the Realme GT7 Pro. However, it seems that Realme has been working on the feature for a while now and it is almost ready to be released.
