The Redmi K80 series is official and the Xiaomi sub-brand has also announced a new smartwatch and TWS Buds in addition to its latest and greatest smartphones.
Redmi watch 5
Redmi Watch 5 is the logical successor to last year Redmi watch 4 and it brings with it a larger 2.07-inch AMOLED display that now peaks at 1,500 nits. Xiaomi has also trimmed the bezels and kept the 60Hz refresh rate.
Redmi Watch 5 key specifications
Watch 5 has an aluminum frame and a metal dial on the right side that allows you to navigate the user interface. It is one of the first wearables to be launched with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 out of the box.
Xiaomi also offers an eSIM version, which allows you to make calls and send messages on supported platforms.
Xiaomi claims that the new heart rate sensor offers 97.1% accuracy and you also get the standard blood oxygen, sleep and stress tracking. The watch also features a built-in GNSS positioning sensor and tracks your usual sports and activities.
The 550mAh battery in the Watch 5 is now rated for up to 24 days of normal use and up to 12 days with Always-On Display mode.
Redmi Watch 5 comes in black and silver colors and comes at a price CNY599 ($82). The eSIM version comes in titanium silver and costs 799 CNY ($110).
Redmi Buds 6 Pro
Redmi Buds 6 Pro comes with 11mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers paired with 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers.
Xiaomi has also updated the active noise cancellation (ANC), which can drown out up to 55 dB of noise. Buds 6 Pro pair via Bluetooth 5.3 and support LHDC 5.0 and LC3 audio codecs. The battery life of the earbuds and their case is up to 36 hours.
Redmi Buds 6 Pro and Buds 6 Pro Gaming Edition
Xiaomi is also offering a Gaming Edition Buds 6 Pro, which has 20ms latency and supports the LHDC Lossless audio codec via the specialized USB-C adapter.
Redmi Buds 6 Pro is available in Jade Green, White and Black colors. The price is set at 399 CNY ($55). Buds 6 Pro Gaming Edition are priced at CNY499 ($68).
