Samsung unveiled its latest tablets a few days ago alongside the Galaxy S24 FE, but this time there are only two: the 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S10+ and the 14.6-in Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung skipped the 11-inch Galaxy Tab S10 and you can see why: there’s quite a dramatic size difference between the Tab S10 Ultra and the Tab S10+.
The Galaxy tab S10 Ultra next to the S10+
This is Samsung’s largest (and best) tablet yet is not dramatically better than its predecessor. It’s a bit lighter, which is always nice, but most of the upgrades come down to the new chipset, which in itself is probably the biggest story here: this is the first time Samsung has offered its Ultra tablet with a MediaTek.
Specifically, it’s the Dimensity 9300+ – built on TSMC’s a 3rd generation 4nm process and equipped with a CPU with four Cortex-X4s (one at 3.4 GHz, three more at 2.85 GHz), so you’re looking at a speed increase of 18% compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Tab S9 Ultra.
The promised graphics improvement is even more impressive – 28% – while the new NPU is 14% faster. The silicon upgrade opens the floor for the AI tricks that all the new top galaxies possess, including Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Note Assist.
The 14.6-inch 1848x2960px screen is beautiful. It is the size of a laptop, has a slightly higher aspect ratio of 16:10 and offers an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz and HDR10+. The screen is coated against reflections and this is immediately noticeable and appreciated.
Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra brings an S Pen in the box. The S Pen takes advantage of the Tab S10 Ultra’s huge canvas for productivity and creativity. It has an integrated button that opens the S Pen menu. We think getting a keyboard case with this tablet is a must, not only to keep it afloat, but also to unleash its potential – you can easily get some serious work done on this machine!
Samsung sells two keyboards for its Tab S10 series – the one you see below is the €230 Book Cover Slim – it attaches magnetically and has a quality keyboard with F1-F12 function keys, integrated S Pen storage and an AI button . You can upgrade to the $390 Book Cover keyboard. It has a glass trackpad, backlighting, more customizability, and detaches from the tablet for a more comfortable experience.
The keyboard case is a must-have with this tablet
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is on sale now and you can get a free Book Cover Slim in some European markets. The base 12/256GB model costs €1,339/£1,199/$1,199/INR 108,999. In most markets you also have a choice of 12/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB.
