We’ve heard rumors that the Galaxy S25 series will be here more expensive than the outgoing 2024 generation. However, a new report contradicts this and says prices will remain the same. Keep in mind that the conflicting reports may all be true: different regions may or may not see prices change.
Speculative renders: Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra
As far as Northern Europe is concerned, the prices for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra will launch at the same price as their S24 counterparts. Sources have mainly mentioned prices in Sweden, so let’s take a look at that what they were. We also mention the prices for Germany as Swedish prices are in krona.
Storage | Swedish prize | German price | |
---|---|---|---|
Samsung Galaxy S24 | 128GB | SEK 11,490 | 899 euros |
Samsung Galaxy S24+ | 256GB | SEK 14,490 | 1,149 euros |
Samsung Galaxy S24Ultra | 256GB | SEK 17,990 | 1,449 euros |
If this report is true, you can replace “S24” with “S25” in the table above and those are the prices. Of course, Samsung will have a launch promo, which is traditionally a free storage upgrade, so at least early on the above prices will apply to the 256GB S25 and 512GB S25+ and S25 Ultra.
So that’s good news. The Galaxy S25 series doesn’t bring any massive upgrades except for the Snapdragon 8 Elitewhich is a huge step up from the Exynos 2400 that Europeans got in their S24 and S24+ phones – but there are some important small upgrades too. For example, the small S phone will finally get it 12GB RAM (but the base storage will still be 128 GB), the two larger models could get 16GB in some configurations. The S25 Ultra gets one new 50MP ultra-wide camerathe other cameras remain essentially unchanged. The battery and charging options won’t see any major changes unless rumored Support Qi2 wireless charging pans out.
