This week Honor revealed the 300 series which consists of three models: vanilla, Pro and Ultra. All three models feature 50MP selfie cameras with 4K video capabilities, 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide rear cameras, plus a 5,300mAh battery and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Honor 300 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, last year’s flagship chipset, and has a curved 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,224 x 2,700 px (10-bit color, 120 Hz). The screen contains a second module, a 2MP depth sensor, and therefore has a pill-shaped hole. These specs are shared with the Ultra model, including 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
The Honor 300 Ultra stands out with a better telephoto camera – 3.8x periscope versus 3x on the Pro, both with 50MP sensors. The Ultra also has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader (the other two use optical readers) and an extra storage layer (1TB).
The vanilla Honor 300 has a flat 6.7-inch screen (1,200 x 2,664 px, 10-bit, 120 Hz) and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. There’s no telephoto camera on this one and the battery can only be charged wired – same 100W value as the two more expensive models.
Speaking of price, here’s how much each Honor 300 model costs in China. Note that we don’t have any information about the global launch as of yet, but the number series is a staple of Honor’s global presence. That said, the Honor 300 Ultra does feature BDS Satellite Messaging – both this and the Ultra as a whole won’t be available worldwide. Here are the prices, plus a conversion to USD (obviously world prices incur additional fees on top of that).

Let’s start with the Honor 300 Pro as a middle-of-the-road option – almost as capable as the Ultra, but not as cheap as the vanilla model. Would you even buy this over the other two?
Now for the bounty Honor 300 Ultra – are the extra goodies worth the extra cost? To be honest, the gap between the Pro and Ultra isn’t that big. A good zoom lens and a better fingerprint reader certainly deserve consideration.
Finally the Honor 300. This one is the budget model, but has the same selfie camera as its two more expensive siblings. Many other features are also the same. What do you think?
