Xiaomi unveiled HyperOS 2 a few weeks ago, but at the time only offered a timeline for updating devices in China. There was one leaked timelinebut that turned out not to be true as Xiaomi just published the real deal and the good news is that we don’t have to wait until 2025 to get the new OS version.

Some don’t even have to wait until next month; the first phones to get HyperOS 2 will have the Xiaomi 14T And 14T Prowho will get it later this month. And they’re not the only ones either, the regular Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra will also make the jump this month, as will the Xiaomi 13T Pro (but not the 13T). Also slated for a November rollout are the Redmi Note 13 series and the Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro and M6 Pro. The Mix Flip is also an early adopter of the new operating system.

The December schedule picks up the laggards: the Xiaomi 13T, Poco F6 and M6, plus some older devices. This goes back to the Xiaomi 13, 12 and 11 series, but also includes the 12T and 12T Pro. Redmi 13 and 12 (both 4G and 5G variants), as well as the Redmi Note 12 series will also be updated next month.

Older Poco phones like the X5 Pro, F5 and F5 Pro, X4 GT and F4 GT are also on the list. There are also some newer phones, like the Poco C75, which only launched in October but came with version 1 of HyperOS.

In summary, some 2022 Xiaomi phones will be updated to HyperOS 2 at the end of this year, but some will not, for example the Poco X4 Pro and the vanilla F4. It’s really only the flagship range that goes deeper than that, with the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra going back to late 2020/early 2021.

That’s it for the phones, but Xiaomi is also updating its tablets and wearables. This will start in November with the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and Smart Band 9 Pro. Next month, the Xiaomi Pad 6, Poco Pad and a number of Redmi Pads will also jump to HyperOS 2.
