You can buy some official accessories, like this €15 leather strap. The nice thing about it is that the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro adds lugs, allowing you to attach standard straps.

Xiaomi’s Pro model in the smartband adds a GPS, which is crucial for runners. The Band 9 Pro, like the 8 Pro before it, supports the BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS systems.

What’s different from the older model? The biggest change concerns the battery: at 350 mAh it is now about 18% larger than before. Thanks to the added mAh, the 9 Pro can claim up to 21 days of light use, compared to 14 on the older model.

The OLED screen sounds the same at 1.74 inches 336x480px, but is twice as bright at 1200 nits. The glass on top is also curved 2.5D at the ends compared to the flat glass of the old model.

The new band also has a linear vibration motor for nicer haptics.

Finally, Xiaomi has changed the heart rate tracking hardware on the bottom, making it superior for collecting and transmitting signals, and by extension more accurate.
